CONTEST APPLICATION DEADLINE: Extended to July 12th, 2020

VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE: July 15th, 2020
All selected participants will be required to submit a video by July 15, 2020
Queen & Princess Rules
- Applicants must be a resident of Washington County, RI, or a member of a RI Grange or a member of a RI 4-H or FFA Club/Chapter.
- The Princess contest is for girls 14-16 years of age.
- The Queen contest is for young women 17-21 years of age.
- Contestants must be unmarried and have no children.
- Participants who win in 2020 will qualify to compete again in 2021.
- NOTE: Participants who exceed age requirements in 2021 will be waived. Example: If you participate this year (2020) in the princess competition, and turn 17 years old in 2021, you will still qualify to participate in the princess competition in 2021.
- Two runners-up will be chosen in each category.
If either winner fails to meet her obligations, she will relinquish her title to her first runner-up. Contestants will be judged on poise, personality, grooming, speaking ability and contest application. All judges scores are final. Further details and applications may be obtained from and returned to the chairperson listed above.

NOTE: Be sure to include your name, age, email, and phone number with all submissions.
Each selected contestant will be required to video record themselves giving a speech no longer than five (5) minutes as to why she would like to be this year’s WCF Queen or Princess, as well as answering a specific question presented to them after application!! Contestants are required to wear a gown or formal dress and should be taped on video standing upright as they will still be judged based as per the contest application:
- Speaking ability
- Grooming
- Poise
- Personality
- Submitted videos will be posted on Facebook for audience voting on July 20th.
- Participants who win in 2020 will qualify to compete again in 2021.
- NOTE: Participants who exceed age requirements in 2021 will be waived. Example: If you participate this year (2020) in the princess competition, and turn 17 years old in 2021, you will still qualify to participate in the princess competition in 2021.
