Virtual Arts & Crafts Contests

1. In order to be considered for an Arts & Craft Contest, participants must submit a photo of themselves with the item by August 1st, 2020.
2. Anyone may enter the following contest except those persons who are professionals in their respective categories. Professionals are those people who derive their living from any category in this division or whose work is shown in professional capacity.
3. Children should complete Arts & Crafts with minimal assistance from a parent.
4. Cash will be award in each contest at the discretion of the judge. Places include 1st – $15, 2nd – $10, and 3rd – $5.
5. Any winning exhibits from the previous years are prohibited from entry.
6. The decision of the judges is final.
7. By submitting a photo to the Washington County Fair, the participant waives their right to the photo and grants the Fair Committee ownership rights to the photo. The Fair Committee has the right to post the photo on the fair website, social media, and any other platform they choose to.

Contest One – Quilts

Items that can be submitted are: Pieced bed quilts, quilted bedspreads, quilted pillows, quilted handbags, quilted wall hangings, quilted baby quilts, quilted clothing, and quilted craft items.

Contest Two – Art Work

Items that can be submitted are: Pastels, Pencil, Oils, Acrylics, Water Colors, Pen & Ink, Fabric Paintings, and Tole Paintings.

Contest Three – Handy Work

Items that can be submitted are: Handmade Toys, Wood Work, Metal Work, Decoupage, Macramé, Quilling, String Art, Dip ‘n’ Drape, Bead Work, Collage, Basket Weaving, Jewelry, Origami, Wall and Door Hangings, and Leather Work.

Contest Four – Crochet Afghans

Contest Five – Masks

Many people within the community came together during the COVID – 19 Pandemic by making handmade cloth masks. Submit a photo of yourself wearing your handmade cloth mask by the due date. Note – Handmade masks ONLY, no store bought masks will be accepted for consideration.

Kids Contests

Items that can be submitted are: Crayon, Pencil, Oils, Acrylics, Water Colors, Posters, Pen & Ink, Pastels, Marker, Fuzzy Posters you Color, Decoupage, String Art, Bead Work, Collage, Origami, Jewelry, and Wall and Door Hangings
Age Groups: 3-5, 6-10, 11-14)
